Overview
ROADSLIGHT CAR is an offline vehicle catalog and planning application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when users access and use the app.
What the app does
The app lets users:
- View the local vehicle catalog packaged in the app
- Search, sort, and filter vehicles
- Save favorite vehicles on the device
- Compare up to three vehicles on the device
- Store personal notes on the device
- Save local vehicle cost estimates on the device
The app does not place bookings or reservations, process payments, create user accounts, ask for personal information, use analytics, show advertisements, or track users.
Data handling
Based on the current Android build, the app stores only the following information locally on the user's device:
- Favorite vehicles selected by the user
- Vehicle comparison selections
- Notes entered by the user
- The latest saved estimate created by the user
This information remains in local application storage and is not transmitted from the app to ROADSLIGHT CAR or to third parties.
User-entered notes may contain information that the user chooses to type. The app stores those notes only on the device and does not transmit them.
Permissions
Based on the current Android manifest, the app does not request dangerous permissions.
Network use
Based on the current Android build, the app does not require an internet connection for normal use.
Data deletion
Users can remove locally stored information by clearing the app's storage from their device settings or by uninstalling the app.
This removes locally stored favorites, comparison selections, notes, and saved estimates from the device.
